A SPIRIT OF GENTLENESS

Passage: Galatians 6:1

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness.
Galatians 6:1, NKJV

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Galatians 6:1, KJV

TODAY’S WORD
On your journey in life, you’re going to have friends and loved ones who make some mistakes and get off course. It’s easy to be judgmental and think that they knew better, it’s their own fault, and they’re getting what they deserve. But a true friend doesn’t run away when people are in trouble; you run to them. You pour oil on their wounds. You help them get better. They have enough people pushing them down. Their own thoughts are making them feel badly enough. Why don’t you be a healer? Why don’t you use your words to nourish their soul? You can help love them back into wholeness. The mercy we show others is the mercy God is going to show us. Don’t be a condemner, a faultfinder. Live as a healer, a restorer. The Scripture says, “The enemy is the accuser of the brethren.” Anytime you’re tempted to be harsh, judgmental, and condemning, recognise you’re on the wrong side.

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
“FATHER, thank You for calling me to lift the fallen, to restore the broken, and to help the hurting. Help me to see others through Your eyes and to become a dispenser of Your goodness. Show me how to connect with others and to be a healer. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
